A Note About the Coronavirus
We want to provide an update on our preparations and policies to prevent a Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and to minimize the risk to our residents. We will be following all CDC and local health department guidelines. Rooms and common areas are being disinfected daily.
Visitors and Volunteers are no longer permitted. All staff are screened daily and their temperatures taken prior to the beginning of each shift. We are continuing to take all precautions to keep our Saint Francis family safe and healthy.
Thank you for trusting us with the care of your loved one. As always, our primary concern is for the health and well-being of our residents.

This is an awesome place
This is an awesome place! My mom has been here for 2 years and she loves it. The staff is great, the sisters are really involved with the residents, there is never a smell, and the food is even good! Mom's doctor here is so attentive he even gave us his cell phone number. It was really difficult for my family to bring mom to a nursing home,. So thankful we found this gem! Mom is thriving and we are all so grateful to the fantastic, caring staff.
“Hidden Treasure in San Antonio”
My mother has been at St. Francis for several years and I could not imagine a better home for her. The care is excellent and the place is always spotless. The sisters who run it are always there and she loves the daily Mass. My mom has made some great friendships, she loves going to activities and she even says the food is, “just like homemade.” We are so lucky to have this hidden treasure in San Antonio! If you are looking for a place you will feel truly comfortable leaving your loved one look no further.
"A blessing to their residents"
My Dad spent his last few years in St Frrancis and they were wonderful. The Nuns that run the facility are a blessing to their residents and their families. The workers could not have been any nicer to my Dad as he slowly faded away. Examples of the place is that it does NOT smell like a nursing home, the food is good, and the other residents are cheery in the building. It shows the love of Christ in every way. It was so nice that when our Aunt needed a place, we waited for a place at St Francis.

“Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received–only what you have given.”
-St. Francis of Assisi
Founded out of necessity in Russian occupied Poland in 1881, The Seraphic Sisters, synonymous for Angelic or Holy Ladies, are dedicated to following the teachings of Saint Francis of Assisi. From their secretive beginnings they have grown and spread, and have been caring for the sick, poor and elderly of San Antonio since 1970.
